Eagle Scout Hopeful Creates Memorial Garden for Red Cross West Point Office
From left to right: Bob Wilson, General Manager Hotel Thayer LTC Cashion; Red Cross West Point Director Michelle Strom; Clay Cashion; Joe D'Onofrio Highland Falls Mayor; and Inga Quaintance, Town of the Highlands Town Supervisor.

Clay Cashin, a member of West Point Troop 23 and a freshman at James O'Neill High School in Highland Falls, New York, built a small garden beside the Red Cross Center at West Point to honor Red Cross volunteers as part of his Eagle Scout community project.  Clay paved, mulched, put in bushes and flowers and a fence. Red Cross West Point Director Michelle Strom said Clay "Did a wonderful job with the garden which all of our volunteers enjoy.” Strom says the West Point office plans to put up a plaque in the garden with Clay"s name and the names of its dedicated volunteers.
