Chapter’s 2007 Book & Toy Drive Helps Children Affected by Disaster

More than 300 ARC/GNY youth volunteers participated in the 2007 Book & Toy Drive to help children affected by homelessness and disasters. Local companies, schools and organizations, along with generous Chapter employees and volunteers, collected 1,125 toys, 749 books and 789 comic books. A total of $10,586.84 was raised, and more than 1,080 families and 1,908 children were assisted. Chapter youth volunteers wrapped toys and books and distributed them at Icahn House East on Saturday, December 8th from 12 – 3 pm, lighting up the faces of the children who received them.
