Two former Queens Area Office youth volunteers, Tony and Donysa Vacharasanee, met while volunteering and were married last year.
The evening of January 4th began in a candlelit room at Chapter Headquarters in Manhattan with gourmet hors d'oeuvres and refreshments. The more than 30 former youth volunteers and high school seniors who attended had a chance to catch up with old friends of the Youth Services Program—some for the first time in seven years. They were addressed by Chief Response Officer Scott Graham, VRD Senior Coordinator Isabel Hernandez and YAA organizer and volunteer Tiffany Westlie.
Each attendee received a personalized folder that included information about the Reserve Institute, how to start a Red Cross Campus club at their colleges, contact information for their local Red Cross chapter, and information about ARC/GNY"s internship program.
On a very happy note: Two former Queens Area Office youth volunteers, Tony and Donysa Vacharasanee, met while volunteering and were married last year. Congratulations to the Red Cross couple!
