Representatives from the Red Cross Ready When the Time Comes (RWTC) program including CEO Richard Keyser and Branch Manager Mike Williamson of RWTC national founding sponsor W.W. Grainger Inc.; Doug Paul of RWTC partner Credit Suisse; and Greater New York Chapter CEO Theresa Bischoff, rang the opening bell on the New York Stock Exchange on Monday, January 28.

W.W. Grainger and Credit Suisse are encouraging companies to partner with the Red Cross and train employees to be ready to help their communities during emergencies through RWTC. The program trains volunteer teams from local companies, organizations and community groups in Red Cross disaster relief services.

Ready When the Time Comes was developed by W.W. Grainger, Inc., the founding sponsor of the RWTC pilot program in Chicago, in partnership with the American Red Cross. The RWTC program has been implemented in 17 American Red Cross chapters, and ARC/GNY is one of the original six pilot chapters.

The ringing of the bell was viewed throughout the world by an estimated 120 million people through financial news and TV networks.
