Culinary Creations by Hudson Valley Chefs Support Red Cross Programs at West Point
L to R: Putnam/West Point Area Office Director Michelle Strom, Chef Peter X. Kelly of Xaviars Restaurant Group and the evening’s Master of Ceremonies, ARC/GNY Chief External Affairs Officer Rosemary Mackey, Chef Mohsen Alam El Din of the Plumbush Inn and Restaurant, Chef Lucie Provencher of The River Bank, Chef Peter Calchera of The Thayer Hotel, and Chef Eric Gabrynowicz from Tavern at the Highlands Country Club and the evening’s Top Chef Winner.

The American Red Cross in Greater New York (ARC/GNY) at West Point's 4 For a Cause Wine Dinner hosted by the Thayer Hotel at West Point on March 27th received a four "cross” rating for its success and support of ARC/GNY programs and services provided in the West Point area. The elegant evening was the first community event organized by and benefiting the Red Cross in the West Point community.

One hundred supporters of the Red Cross, who also are fans of the four local chefs—Mohsen Alam El Din, Peter Calchera, Eric Gabrynowicz and Lucie Provencher—who donated their time and culinary talents, turned out for the palate-pleasing evening and auction. The several thousand dollars raised will remain in the West Point community, allowing trained Red Cross volunteers to continue to provide the organization"s programs and services for residents.
